Did you know there are people in this world who believe in what's called, "spiritual healing"? This religious practice does not use medical care of any kind, and this includes vaccinations, whether or not they were researched and developed using aborted fetal cells. In the United States of America alone, I am aware of more than twenty different sects and religious groups whose teachings deny the use of medical care. I am aware of dozens of children who died in the United States from meningitis and pneumonia because their parents denied them medical care. These deaths could have been prevented with vaccinations.

What these religious groups do not recognize is that children have rights that are separate from their parents.

Parents need to recognize that their rights end when they intrude too far into a child's right to live. Parents have a right to bring up their children the way they believe is best, however that right should end at the point in which the parents' actions endanger the lives of their children. In 1988, the national office of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) confirmed these rights.

Children have rights that are detailed in the Convention on the Rights of the Child. (Not applicable in the USA or Somalia)
