The Fathers Lobby:

In England and Wales, if a non-violent father without a criminal record of any kind makes an application in the courts to share the care of his child, then he has little chance of obtaining the order.

In England and Wales, a father who shares the care of his child in equal amounts of time with the child's mother is still required to pay child maintenance to her, while she collects child benefits and tax credits that are not available to the father.

In England and Wales, mothers who oppose shared residence applications from non-violent fathers can benefit financially by doing so, because they will obtain more child support when the father has his children less often.

  • Why are children prevented from receiving greater care from non-violent fathers and grandparents?

  • Why is your tax money paying millions of pounds to publicly-funded solicitors who argue over shared residence applications from non-violent fathers?

We are currently planning several projects that will make a difference. We will soon announce the details.
